Choose Local and Small Y'all was created out of a desire to promote and support locally-owned, small businesses in Garner and the surrounding area. It’s about fueling the local economy, & helping to preserve peoples' dreams.   

Supporting small businesses is more important than ever. We all have favorite small businesses we can't imagine living without. However, fewer small businesses are opening and staying open. To be successful requires an abundance of grit, passion and determination.

  You might not realize it, but every time you visit your neighborhood spot or buy a gift from the local shop down the street, you're shopping small and making a big difference.   

In fact, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in the local community.

Who we are: We are a partnership of local and small businesses in Garner and the surrounding  area who have an active presence on Facebook, who are committed to promote each other, promote local and small and give back to our community. We are a grassroots initiative, and an active working group where everyone agrees to participate in sharing information through Facebook. We were formed as a way for small and local businesses to have a voice and an ability to market our businesses knowing individually we had limited reach, but collectively we have a strong voice. 

Requirements to be eligible to join:  

• Be an independently owned and operated local and small business. (non franchise, non independent contractor, non MLM) 
• The business is not multi-state or international. 
• Have a business Facebook/Instagram account with a minimum of 150 followers or have a business website. 
• Have a personal Facebook account for communication purposes. 
• Memberships are limited in categories with the goal of  maximizing our partners’ exposure.
